Florida School Reopening Plan Gets Appeals Court Clearance (1)

A Florida appeals court reversed an injunction blocking Gov. Ron DeSantis’ school-reopening plan, dealing a blow to teachers unions and other groups that have fought to keep those decisions in the hands of local school officials.

An order from the state’s First District Court of Appeal, dated Friday, affirmed a state requirement that public schools offer five days of in-person instruction each week or face funding cuts.
