A Florida Popeye’s restaurant has agreed to conciliate a federal charge alleging it fired an employee due to her pregnancy, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Oct. 11.
According to the EEOC, upon learning that an employee was pregnant, a Popeye’s in Orange City, Fla., fired her because it believed that she would need accommodations to perform her job duties.
