BestBet Jacksonville, Inc., a Florida poker room, violated federal law when it failed to offer reasonable accommodations to pregnant employees and forced them to quit, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims.
The EEOC said in a March 31 lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida that BestBet maintained a strict policy requiring employees to resign if they missed two weeks or more of work and did not qualify for leave under the Family Medical Leave Act.
