A Florida law restricting “woke” workplace bias and diversity training doesn’t violate employers’ free speech rights, but instead regulates business conduct by barring them from imposing that training as a job requirement, the state’s attorneys argued.
The state filed its reply brief Wednesday in its appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, seeking to overturn an injunction that blocked it from enforcing the new law last year. The brief tees up the case for oral arguments, which haven’t been scheduled yet.
