Flagstar Bank Dodges Competitor’s Poaching, Trade Secrets Case

Flagstar Bank beat a trade secrets case brought by competitor Busey Bank, claiming that Flagstar poached their employees and took $100 million worth of business, under a ruling by a federal Illinois court.

Busey sued Flagstar and its former employees for misappropriation of trade secrets, tortious interference, and civil conspiracy, along with various breach of contract claims. One federal claim was brought under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, while the rest were brought under state law.
