Five Republicans Back Push to Vote on Undoing Trump Union Order

A moderate Democrat now has enough signatures to force a House vote to repeal a Trump executive order on federal workers’ bargaining rights.

New York Republican Reps. Nick LaLota and Mike Lawler signed onto Rep. Jared Golden’s (D-Maine) discharge petition Monday, bringing the effort to 218 signatures with five Republicans and most Democrats on board. Golden’s resolution (H. Res. 432) and underlying bill (H.R. 2550) would undo President Donald Trump’s March executive order that curbed collective bargaining rights at multiple government agencies.
