Fischer Connectors Faces EEOC Lawsuit for Age Discrimination

Sept. 27, 2022, 8:06 PM UTC

Fischer Connectors Inc., a manufacturer of circular connectors, is being sued for alleged age discrimination against a 67-year-old employee in Atlanta, the EEOC said Tuesday.

After coming under new management, the company allegedly fired a human resources worker because of her age and refused to hire qualified older workers while favoring underqualified younger workers, conduct that would violate the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said.

The EEOC is seeking back pay, front pay, and liquidated damages, as well as injunctive relief to prevent future discrimination, the agency said.
