Fired Kroger Employee Drops Age Bias Lawsuit Against Company (1)

A woman who alleged her firing from Kroger Co. was pretext for gender and age discrimination has agreed to dismiss her lawsuit against the company.

Mary Sligay, who was 60 years old at the time of her termination, worked as a delivery receiver at Kroger for 38 years. In her complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, she alleged Kroger violated the state’s Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act.
