Fifth Circuit Urged to Revive Parole Program as Lawsuit Proceeds

Mixed-status immigrant families have filed an emergency motion to have a stay lifted on a parole program offering immigrant spouses employment authorization and a pathway to green cards.

A district court’s order halting the program in response to a challenge from Republican states is unlawful because it amounts to an injunction without any legal justification, they told the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
