Fieger Law Firm Defeats Attorney’s Family Leave Retaliation Suit

A Michigan law firm prevailed against an employee who said she was fired for requesting leave to take care of her ill child, according to a federal district court order.

Polina Milman, an attorney who worked at Fieger & Fieger PC, failed to show she was entitled to leave under the Family Medical Leave Act, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said. Judge Stephen J. Murphy III dismissed her FMLA claim with prejudice.
