A North Carolina federal court signed off on a $3 million class settlement between Fidelity Investments and nearly 6,000 call center employees in North Carolina and New Mexico who alleged wage violations of federal and state law.
The settlement provides appropriate compensation to the plaintiffs and reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, Judge Catherine C. Eagles of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina said Jan. 8. The court granted final approval of the deal after conducting a fairness hearing Jan. 3.
