Female Wells Fargo Mortgage Consultant Loses Age, Sex Bias Suit

Wells Fargo Bank NA defeated a female former employee’s claim that it delayed hiring her because of her age by showing two younger women weren’t hired much faster and other reasons existed for why it took two weeks longer to bring her on, according to an Eastern District of Washington ruling.

Lynne Gardner also lacked proof she was paid less than a comparable male employee while working for the bank from June 2016 to August 2017 as a junior home mortgage consultant, the court said. The man Gardner pointed to actually was hired as a full consultant, and Wells Fargo ...
