The University of Texas must face trial on a female class action law professor’s claim under the Equal Pay Act that she was paid less than a male professor for performing equal work, a federal judge in Austin ruled.
But a jury couldn’t find for Linda Mullenix on her pay-based sex bias claim under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the US District Court for the Western District of Texas said.
