Teachers Want Cozen O’Connor Booted From Equal Pay Lawsuit (2)

Female teachers who say a Pennsylvania school district paid them less than male coworkers urged a district judge to disqualify Cozen O’Connor from representing their employer.

It “strains credulity” that the firm and founder Stephen A. Cozen joined the four-year-old dispute earlier this week “for any reason other than to trigger” the recusal of Judge Michael M. Baylson of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, who attended law school with Cozen and disclosed their ongoing social relationship, the teachers said Thursday.
