Female HSBC Worker Says Bias Gripes Caused Low Bonus, Firing (1)

HSBC Securities USA Inc. allegedly paid a female research analyst a lower bonus than a male colleague because she reported sex bias against a subordinate, and later fired her after she complained she was also being discriminated against, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan.

The brokerage further retaliated by needlessly filing a Form U5 through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority explaining Masha Kahn’s termination from its technology, media, and telecommunications team just to punish her for opposing the sex-based pay and other mistreatment, she says.
