FedEx Beats Some Delivery Driver Claims in California Wage Case

FedEx Ground Package System Inc. is free of some delivery driver wage-and-hour claims after a federal judge in California partially granted the company’s summary judgment motion.

The multinational shipping firm isn’t liable for fraudulent misrepresentation or conversion, and it will have to face some other wage claims only for one driver, not all three, the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Thursday. But FedEx failed to convince the court it should win now on the drivers’ waiting time penalties and payroll record maintenance claims.
