Federal Worker Appeals Board May Get Familiar Face as 3rd Member

B. Chad Bungard, a former general counsel at the board responsible for hearing federal employee appeals of personnel actions, is President Donald Trump’s pick to be a member of the panel.

The president on April 30 nominated Bungard to be a member of the Merit Systems Protection Board for a term that would expire on March 1, 2025. If Bungard, as well as Trump’s two previously announced MSPB nominees, are confirmed by the Senate, they can begin to address a backlog of more than 2,000 cases.
