Federal Judge Overturns Missouri Teamsters Election in DOL Suit

A federal district judge has nullified a local Teamsters election at the Biden administration’s request, saying that the union failed to ensure members’ votes were kept secret.

US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri Judge Matthew Schelp cited “undisputed evidence” that the November 2020 election for Teamsters Local 688 was conducted recklessly and in violation of federal law.
