Federal Judge in Colorado Enjoins Application Of Contraceptive Mandate Against Company

A Colorado company run by a Catholic family will not have to comply with the federal government’s preventive services mandate when its employee health care plan begins its new plan year Nov. 1, as a result of a ruling by a federal district court enjoining enforcement of the new rule (Newland v. Sebelius, D. Colo., 1:12-cv-01123-JLK, 7/27/12).
