Federal Contractor Auditing Office Rolling Out Changes

A new day is dawning at the Labor Department’s federal contractor watchdog office.

Ondray T. Harris, the director of the DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, has recently put in face time at employment conferences and closed listening sessions across the country. It’s given contractors and their representatives a glimpse of the agency’s potential policy changes.

Stakeholders in the contracting community say the agency under Harris is focusing on faster audits, collaboration, voluntary apprenticeship programs, compliance officer training, and contractor award programs.
