The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs is seeking public comments on whether it should reinstate a monthly report that would require construction contractors to submit information about their employees’ work hours based on race, ethnicity, gender, and trade.
In a notice posted Thursday, the agency said it believes collecting the information will strengthen the OFCCP’s construction program by informing compliance assistance efforts. It also would help the OFCCP track contractors’ outreach efforts and “the agency’s Megaproject Program.”
