FDIC Bid for Anti-Sexual Harassment Experts Paused After DEI Ban

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has withdrawn a request it made for external experts to conduct anti-harassment training for its staff after President Donald Trump issued an order this week banning diversity, equity and inclusion programs at federal agencies.

The move represents a new complication for the bank regulator’s plan to address allegations of sexual harassment and abuse in its ranks. More than a third of the agency’s employees said they had witnessed or experienced harassment, according to a survey its watchdog released late last year.
