Seasonal guestworker visas have run out for the spring and summer, cutting off a supply of foreign labor to industries such as landscaping, amusement, and resorts.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Feb. 22 announced that it had conducted a lottery for the H-2B visa petitions it had received as of Feb. 19. This is the second time the agency has held a lottery for the visas because of the extent to which demand has outpaced supply.
