Exotic dancers at an Ohio strip club should have been considered employees and paid the minimum wage, as opposed to contractors who take home only tips and pay fees to work, a federal judge found.

The club and its owner must pay $30,000 in back wages to two exotic dancers for violating the Fair Labor Standards Act, Judge James S. Gwin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio said Feb. 14.
