Ex-VP With Long Covid Lacks Evidence for Biased Firing Lawsuit

A corporate vice president who lost her job as her company prepared for a spinoff failed to show that her long-haul Covid symptoms and medical leave were the real reason for her firing.

Amy Larsson, who served as go-to-market vice president at what’s now known as Lyric, alleges the company fired her after she took leave for long Covid treatment to replace her with a nondisabled employee. But no reasonable jury could back any of her claims, so her employer is entitled to summary judgment, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said Monday.
