Ex-Varengold Bank Manager Charged in German Cum-Ex Probe

German prosecutors filed a new indictment in their sprawling probe into Cum-Ex, this time targeting a former manager at Varengold Bank AG whose ex-chief executive office was already convicted for his role in the scandal.

The case targets a former manager at Varengold who has been cooperating with the probe, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity. A new indictment was filed at the Bonn Regional Court, a spokeswoman for the tribunal confirmed, declining to identify the man or the bank.
