Ex-Southwest Worker Gets Trial Over Abortion Dispute With Union

Southwest Airlines Co. must face trial on an anti-abortion Christian flight attendant’s claims based on her firing after she clashed with a union president over the union’s attendance at the 2017 Women’s March on Washington, a Dallas federal judge ruled.

Whether the Transport Workers Union of America Local 556 violated Charlene Carter’s rights in the events leading up to her termination is also for a jury to decide, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas said.
