Ex-Shell Oil Worker Ends Sex Harassment, Bias, Retaliation Suit

Shell Oil Co. and two related entities settled a former employee’s lawsuit alleging she was sexually harassed, retaliated against for her harassment complaints, and otherwise discriminated against because of her sex.

Jesse Barnes, Shell Oil, Shell Exploration and Production Co. of Appalachia, and Shell Exploration and Production Co. informed the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania of the settlement in a letter dated Monday. They asked the court to dismiss the case.

Terms of the settlement weren’t included in the court record, and counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond Tuesday to Bloomberg Law’s requests for details. ...
