Ex-Princeton Professor Loses Claim Gender Tainted Conduct Probe

Princeton University convinced a New Jersey federal judge Monday that a former professor insufficiently supported allegations that its investigations into his alleged sexual misconduct were tainted by gender discrimination.

Sergio Verdu, who once served as a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, was terminated after two separate investigations. The first probe involved allegations of sexual harassment brought by a female graduate student, Yeohee Im, and the second involved a relationship with a student that allegedly violated school rules.
