Ex-NFL Receiver Sentenced to One Year in Health Care Fraud Case

Tamarick Vanover, the final ex-NFL player to plead guilty to a scheme to defraud a health-care program for retired players, was sentenced to a year and a day in prison.

Judge Karen K. Caldwell of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky imposed the sentence Thursday and ordered the former wide receiver to begin serving the sentence March 22.
