Ex-Dykema Assistant Fails to Revive Age Bias, Retaliation Claims

A former Dykema Gossett PLLC administrative assistant failed to show the law firm fired her because of her age or her internal discrimination complaint, a federal appellate court said Tuesday.

The worker alleged that her direct supervisor harbored age-related bias, but she didn’t show that Dykema decisionmakers acted based on that alleged bias, or that her complaints about it led to her termination, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said in an unpublished opinion.
