Ex-DXC Technology Worker Gets Trial Over Tweet Containing Slur

A jury must decide whether DXC Technology fired a researcher for complaining about its censorship of an allegedly political tweet that included a racial slur.

Christopher Surdak’s retaliation and wrongful termination claims must proceed to a jury trial because it remains disputed whether DXC would’ve fired him if he hadn’t complained about its request that he delete his tweet allegedly quoting Lyndon B. Johnson stating, “I’ll have those [racial slur] voting Democrat for the next 200 years,” the US District Court for the Central District of California ruled Tuesday.
