New York Public Radio used former local All Things Considered host Jami Floyd as the “Black poster woman” to raise millions of dollars while paying her less than White talk show hosts because she complained about race discrimination, according to a new lawsuit.
Floyd served as the show’s local host on WNYC from 2015 to 2020, when she was appointed to run WNYC’s Race & Justice Unit, before voluntarily resigning in 2022, according to the complaint.
