Ex-AFGE Leader Who Made Race Bias Claim Can’t Run for President

A former national secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Government Employees won’t be able to run for president of the union at its national convention this week, a Washington federal judge ordered.

Eugene Hudson was denied a preliminary injunction requesting that he be allowed to participate in the AFGE election taking place Wednesday. This is the second time the US District Court for the District of Columbia has ruled in favor of AFGE on excluding Hudson from the ballot.
