ERC Disclosure Program Open Through March 22

The Internal Revenue Service’s voluntary disclosure program for the employee retention credit is open through March 22, while another April deadline is approaching to file ERC claims for tax year 2020, an IRS official said Jan. 4.

The voluntary disclosure program is for employers that filed an ERC claim and received a credit, but are actually ineligible and wish to repay the credit. The application for the program is Form 15434, Application for Employee Retention Credit (ERC) Voluntary Disclosure Program, the official said.
