Energy Transfer Defeats Combat Vet’s Bias, Retaliation Lawsuit

Two Energy Transfer LP units secured summary judgment ending a lawsuit alleging they discriminated and retaliated against a disabled combat veteran who sought accommodations for loud alarms in his enclosed workplace.

The worker didn’t put forth evidence that would allow a reasonable jury to find that Energy Transfer Partners LLC and La Grange Acquisition LP discriminated or retaliated against him based on his disability, age, or prior military service, the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said Thursday.
