Enbridge Inspectors Get $3.43 Million Overtime Deal Approved

A $3.43 million settlement between Enbridge US Inc. and 475 pipeline inspectors who alleged they were misclassified as exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act and Pennsylvania law was granted final approval Friday by a federal judge in Pittsburgh.

The workers will split about $2.2 million, with each receiving individual payments based on the amount of weeks worked.

Class counsel will receive 35% of the total amount, roughly $1.2 million, in attorney’s fees, plus $40,000 for litigation costs.

The deal also provides a $15,000 service award to lead plaintiff Zachariah Robertson.
