Employers submitted enough petitions to reach a supplemental visa cap for returning seasonal H-2B workers, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced Wednesday.
USCIS allotted 19,000 additional visas for jobs in fiscal year 2025 with start dates between April 1 and May 14 under a temporary final rule issued by last year.
It’s the third straight year in which the Biden administration opted to issue all available visas under a supplemental cap authorized by Congress, nearly doubling the 66,000 visas available under a statutory cap.
