Job candidate evaluation services provided by Eightfold AI Inc. violate federal and California laws governing the use of consumer reports, workers alleged in a new lawsuit.

The artificial intelligence company compiles data scraped from online sources including social media profiles and sells candidate ranking tools to major US employers, according to the complaint filed Jan. 20.
