EEOC’s Stellantis Unit Sex Harassment Case Allowed to Proceed

The EEOC’s lawsuit alleging FCA US LLC created a sexually hostile work environment at its Detroit assembly plant will move forward, a federal judge said.

Judge Judith Levy denied the motion to dismiss from the American subsidiary of automaker Stellantis on Wednesday in US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, allowing the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuit to proceed.

The agency’s complaint alleged multiple female employees experienced sexual harassment at the Detroit plant in violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, including at least two who filed EEOC charges.
