EEOC, Wisconsin Regents Settle Age Discrimination Suit (1)

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the University of Wisconsin System’s Board of Regents have settled an age discrimination suit alleging a 23-year-old former student intern was hired over a 53-year-old employee recently laid off after 26 years, federal court records show.

The board will pay $45,000 to resolve the bias lawsuit, according to the settlement document obtained by Bloomberg Law.
