EEOC Sues Asphalt Company for Race Discrimination, Harassment

The EEOC has filed a race discrimination and harassment lawsuit against Asphalt Paving Systems Inc. in Florida, the agency said Tuesday.

The company, which also has offices in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Tennessee, allegedly subjected Black employees to race-based discrimination and harassment, which violates Title VII of the 1964 Civil Right Act, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Twelve of those employees filed charges with the agency.
