The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a three lawsuits against two restaurants and an airline, charging that they allowed hostile work environments to fester, the agency announced Thursday.
According to the EEOC, a United Airlines manager harassed a Mongolian employee by calling him a “chink,” grabbing his arm to inspect his identification badge, and asking if he liked working for United before slapping him on the back and walking away. United failed to investigate for months, which led to the worker’s resignation.
