EEOC Stands by Decision to Discontinue Pay Data Collection

The EEOC made official its decision to discontinue employer gender and race pay data reporting Friday, informing the White House that it will seek to collect only workforce diversity information for the next three years.

Last year, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission initiated its first attempt at a uniform pay data collection that was intended to help address systemic gender and race pay gaps. The workforce civil rights agency began gathering the pay data in July, following a federal court mandate, and completed the collection in February.
