EEOC Seeks Input While Inching Toward Final Enforcement Plan

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is completing its strategic enforcement plan for the next four years, holding the last of three public listening sessions to discuss its new priorities.

The five commissioners met with the public Thursday to discuss the SEP, which gives the agency’s attorneys a road map for action. The enforcement plan is developed through a collaborative process, and then gets a vote from the full commission.

The agency must prioritize taking down racial barriers to well-paid jobs, as well as helping immigrant workers and stopping pregnancy discrimination, among other issues, those attending the sessions said.
