EEOC Regains Voting Quorum as Trump Pick Panuccio Gets Sworn In

Republican Brittany Panuccio was sworn in as an EEOC commissioner, formally creating the quorum of three necessary to vote on guidance, rulemaking, and significant litigation.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission confirmed to Bloomberg Law the ceremony took place Monday.

The current 2-1 makeup of the EEOC will allow the Republican commissioners to promote a Trump-era agenda that’s likely to include a revamping of harassment guidance that affects LGBTQ+ workers, as well as changes to the EEOC’s Pregnant Workers Fairness Act rules.
