EEOC Posts Commissioners’ Votes on Bias Litigation, Policy

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission made public for the first time how its commissioners vote on workplace discrimination litigation, policy, appropriations, and other issues.

Agency votes don’t take place in a public forum, so this is the first opportunity for the general public to see which commissioners approve or deny equal employment opportunity-focused initiatives, and where the commission has veered from or fallen in line with positions taken by other civil rights agencies, like the Justice Department. The webpage was unveiled Dec. 12.
