Evangeline Hawthorne has been named director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Miami District Office, the EEOC said Monday.
Hawthorne will oversee 55 Florida counties, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands in the EEOC’s enforcement of federal laws against employment discrimination, said the agency.
Previously, she served as the director of EEOC’s Tampa Field Office where she presided over 23 central and western Florida counties, the agency said.
