EEOC Lawsuit Over Bias Against Deaf Nurse Headed for Trial

The EEOC’s discrimination lawsuit against a health-care company that rescinded a job offer to a deaf nurse after she requested reasonable accommodations can go forward to trial, a federal judge said.

US District Court for the District of Maryland Judge James Bredar denied summary judgment in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s suit alleging GBMC Healthcare Inc. and Greater Baltimore Medical Center Inc. violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.
