EEOC General Counsel Terminated by Trump Joins Public Citizen

Civil rights litigator Karla Gilbride, who most recently served as general counsel of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, has joined Public Citizen as deputy director of the nonprofit legal advocacy organization’s litigation group.

Gilbride, an alumna of plaintiffs’ class action firm Sanford Heisler Sharp LLP and left-leaning legal group Public Justice, was among three key members of the independent federal agency Trump fired in a late-night partisan purge last week.
